About Patriot Freight Group
Patriot Freight Group is a intermediary and asset based trucking company, based out of Houston, Texas. On July 4th, 2014 with 1 truck, Jonathan Nutt and Andrew Salazar set out to pursue a dream. Since then, that dream has become a reality. Patriot Freight Group has developed into a fully functional trucking service provider, doubling revenue year-over-year, with Patriot Express running 20 trucks throughout the lower 48 states and Canada. Our goal is to continue to double revenue year-over-year and running 50 trucks by the end of 2019.
Jonathan Nutt
Co-Owner and CEO
Graduated from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!), Class of 2003, with a bachelor of science degree in geography specializing in GIS and cartography. Jonathan spent about 8 years in the residential construction industry including involvement in the green field start-up of a low end production housing builder for a publicly traded homebuilding conglomerate. Following that he was involved with the start-up of a steel distribution company set up as a sole source provider of raw materials inside the headquarters of a major manufacturer. Next came Jonathan’s third start-up, however, this time as a principal. Patriot began on July 4th, 2014 as a hot-shot carrier with a single truck. Since that time the company has continued to grow, exceeding forecasted revenues. Jonathan brings financial and management leadership from his diverse career.
Andrew Salazar
Co-Owner and COO
Andrew grew up in the core of the oil patch in Midland, TX. Andrew has 8 years’ experience working in the Oil & Gas industry including sales, logistics, and quality management. As a business development manager for a premier O&G manufacturer, Andrew managed the eagle ford shale region and transitioned into operations management over sales, logistics and inventory. Andrew has extensive experience in quality management and has spearheaded both ISO and API certifications for multiple companies. As the first full time employee of Patriot, Andrew fills the role of COO and is responsible for all daily sales and operations activities. His knowledge of the freight industry as well as a rock-solid list of prospective customers has enable Patriot to exceed forecasted revenues.
